| Adoquine and cantera stones are soft volcanic sedementary stone, easy to carve. They hold good detail and are fairly durable. Suitable for interior and exterior applications when treated with a penetrating sealer against the adverse effects of weather and moisture. Many of this class of stone contain inclusions, and variation. Available finishes include bush hammered, chiseled, honed, and split. The porous nature of this class of stone prevents polishing. |

Natural Limestones are more dense and heavier than Adoquine or Cantera selections. These qualities make this class of stone more durable and weather resistant. Limestone allows for a range of finishes but varies from selection to selection. All of the finishes available to adoquine can be applied to limestone as well. In addition some selections may be polished. Limestone holds excellent detail and is ideal for carving applications. |
